Happy Elite release day! This is a fair odd happening in the world of gaming: an updated console coming out around a year and a half after the first version. All consoles go through revisions, but hardware with more storage and added connection options? I’m not sure if that’s ever happened before. I showed up at a local big box retailer, picked up the system, noticed no one else in line, and went on my merry way.
All I can say is WOW. This guy converts his regular NES into an arcade version so he could train on Super Mario Bros. Now that’s dedication! ![]()
All in all there are 14 pages with lots of information and plenty of pictures that should make any nerd at least a little wet. And maybe you break out an old NES and start modding it yourself? But you’re gonna need some electronics experience, of course. I love it!

Here’s a fun video of a Super Mario World hack with a Mario suit that would have been plain awesome.
Got some more YouTube stuff for you today.
Starting off with a nice video of “The History of Nintendo”. <3
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge Halo freak… and this just tickles my fancy.
The Halo theme played on Guitar Hero 2! Rawr!
I found this page over at WinSuperSite.com that quickly lets you overview some of the features of the three current-gen consoles available. The page is up-to-date and easy to read.
Althought it looks a bit 360 biased to me (check out the ‘Multimedia Features’ table) it does have some really nice information. Definitely worth a look!
